About the creators

Expert knowledge, made approachable.

Dr Martin Cohen is a zoologist, wildlife biologist and natural-history communicator who has worked in Australia’s tropics for more than 20 years.

Julia Cooper worked in wildlife filming and protected-area management and was a passionate advocate for the region. Her legacy continues through these publications.

Tim Parker of Pembroke Graphics designed the guides, presenting the authors' photography and scientific expertise in a clear, engaging and practical field-guide format.
